Getting From The Airport

Taxi

North Terrace is 7kms or 15 minutes’ drive from Adelaide Airport. A taxi fare to the city is approximately $25.00. There is a $2 levy added to fares for taxis leaving the airport.

Adelaide Metro Bus

Adelaide Metro Buses operate to/from the Adelaide Airport. It offers an express double decker bus service called JetExpress between the airport and the city. Adelaide Metro also offers a convenient JetBus service to Glenelg, West Beach and the City, servicing all stops en route. Both of these services are Metroticket services. Single trip and daytrip tickets can be purchased from bus drivers. Shuttle Bus

The Airport offers a door to door Airport City Shuttle Bus from Adelaide Airport to Hotels and Businesses. Bookings are not needed, just make your way to the information and tourism bookings booth and the staff will help you with your booking and inform you of shuttle times which is approximately every 30 minutes.

City Shuttle Bus operating hours are as follows:

  • Monday – Friday from 8am – 9pm
  • Saturdays from 8am – 6pm.
  • Sundays from 8am – 5pm.

Getting Around Adelaide

The Metrocard makes getting around on public transport in Adelaide easy. All you do is simply touch your card on a validator as you board your bus, train or tram and when you enter or exit Adelaide Railway Station. The appropriate fare will then be deducted. Metrocards are available from newsagents, post offices, supermarkets, convenience stores and other selected locations. You can recharge your cards at these outlets or recharge online.

How to get to North Terrace

Walk

Adelaide Convention Centre is a short walk 15 minute from Adelaide City. All of the conference hotels listed on this website are within a 10 minute walk to the venue.

Taxi

There are three main taxi companies operate in the Adelaide metropolitan area and ranks are located on North Terrace and Morphett Bridge, right on the doorstep of the Central and West Buildings.

Parking

There are two undercover car parking options with the North Terrace and the Riverbank car parks. Both are located directly under the Centre and are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Clearance is 2.0 metres and automated payment stations accept credit/debit cards (1.5% surcharge for Visa, Mastercard, Diners and Amex). Both car parks are fitted with video surveillance camera systems and security patrols these areas.

Bike

The ACC is a designated pick up and drop off point for Adelaide Free Bikes – an initiative run by the Adelaide City Council. All you need is a valid driver’s licence, passport or Australian proof of age card!







Train

The historic Adelaide Railway Station is located a 2 minute walk from the ACC.

Bus

The free City Connector bus is an easy way of navigating around Adelaide; look out for bus 98c or 98A.

Tram

The Tram stop is just in front of the Railway Station.
