KEYNOTE - Anders Sörman-Nilsson

ANDERS SÖRMAN-NILSSON (LLB / EMBA) is a global futurist and innovation strategist who helps leaders decode trends, decipher what’s next and turn provocative questions into proactive strategies. With an average of 240 international travel days a year, Anders’ view is that the future and the now are converging in a city or start-up near you, giving the curious, the creative and the courageous a competitive and sustainable edge. At the same time, that same future contains fearsome forecasts for futurephobes.

This Swedish-Australian futurist has shared stage with Hillary Clinton, Nobel Laureates, and European and Australian heads of state. KEYNOTE - Hugh Forrest

Hugh Forrest serves as Chief Programming Officer for South by Southwest (SXSW). Scheduled March 9-18, 2018 in Austin, this event brings together more than 70,000 industry creatives from across the United States and around the world. These creatives are inspired by nine days of panels, presentations, brainstorming, networking, deal-making, socializing, creating, innovating, and fun.

Forrest was named "Austinite of the Year" in 2012 by the Austin Chamber of Commerce (along with fellow SXSW Directors Roland Swenson, Louis Black and Nick Barbaro). In 2014, Forrest and these other SXSW Directors were named Austin Entrepreneurs of the Year by Ernst & Young.

In addition to his work at SXSW, he has previously served on of the National Advisory Board for the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is currently part of the Board of Directors for Austin Habitat for Humanity, as well as a trustee for the Austin Awesome Foundation.

Forrest majored in English at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. Before joining the SXSW team in the dark ages of 1989, he founded a small alternative publication called The Austin Challenger and wrote for several other local newspapers and publications.

For over 20 years Carolyn Miller has been working in the marketing and advertising industry and has been a strategist at multiple award-winning agencies. She’s also a regular panellist on the highly popular ABC Television Program ‘Gruen’, where advertising industry experts review and discuss marketing creative concepts and strategies. Carolyn has featured as a contributor in the best-selling 'The Gruen Transfer' book and is regularly featured in a variety of television shows discussing advertising, including Sunrise on Channel 7 and The Today Show on Channel 9.

Carolyn loves seeing brands and businesses succeed, and is passionate about bringing ideas to life. Her background as a strategist not only gives her great insight into the brand and advertising world, but also the heartland of consumer sentiment and shifting cultural trends.

She’s the Founding Director of Communications Consultancy ‘The Honeycomb Effect’ where her client base includes high profile brands such as Nespresso, Yahoo!7, Pfizer, Lend Lease and The Australian Institute of Sport amongst many others.

She’s passionate about Women’s health and has been a Non-Executive Director of the Board at Family Planning NSW since 2012. She was elected as Vice President in 2015, and continues to work with the Executive Leadership team to ensure women from all backgrounds have access to reliable and affordable healthcare services, particularly in area of reproductive health.

One of the reasons Carolyn is in demand as a speaker is thanks to her ability to deliver exciting and engaging keynote addresses as well as her collaborative approach with conference organisers.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, and an Executive MBA from the University of Technology Sydney. He's the former pig farmer from Kadina who made it in the big smoke!!! ... Cosi hit the SAFM radio waves 15 years ago and put on that much weight he landed a gig on Channel Ten's hit series The Biggest Loser!!!

Cosi was born in Murray Bridge and then grew up in Kadina on the Yorke Peninsula. Cosi joined Amanda Blair and James Brayshaw on the SAFM breakfast show after winning the SAFM GREAT RACE in 2000.

Eight years of gaining weight was turned around when Cosi joined the BIGGEST LOSER. In four months he whipped himself back into shape while his local fish and chip shop battled bankruptcy. Cosi is a family man, and loves his beautiful wife Sam and their three children.

SOUTH AUSSIE WITH COSI (Sunday nights at 5.30pm on Channel 9) is now a household name in SA and has been on air over 6 years! It combines Cosi’s three loves his family, his state and travelling. Cosi is all things South Australian, he is proud and passionate about his state and wouldn’t live anywhere else.

Cosi won the Young Journalist Of The Year Award for his report on homelessness. He also picked up the Australia Commercial Radio Award for Best Documentary 'Rising Homelessness'.
